Welcome to the Punkinz Newsletter, the only place for updates about the seasonal Punkinz NFT project. That’s right, no Discord and to be honest the Twitter acct will basically be just a feed from this site. :)
So what is the scope of this project?
I feel I need to be upfront about this part first, this is not a 10k randomly generated project. This is a series of around 30 custom drawn 1/1 pieces. Each one will be different, and no one is more or less rare than the other. Once per day a new piece will go on sale on Opensea until Halloween. A quick snapshot will be taken around noon on the 31st of all owners and each one will be airdropped an item that allows access to a spooky short story.
How much will each piece be?
Currently, I’m looking at pricing each one at 0.031 ETH starting on October 1st. A new item will drop each day on OpenSea. (Think of it as a Halloween advent calendar.)
What’s with the short story?
After the snapshot (me going through and writing down each owners address at noon) I’ll send out another NFT to each address on the Polygon network. These story NFT’s will have the unlockable content links to the PDF. They are separate should you want to pass the story on while keeping your Punkinz item.
Who is doing the art and the story?
I am doing the art, the short story, and all else you see here. This is a one gal show. Holders may make derivatives of the Punkinz, the NFT cover art, and AND you may write derivatives of the short story.
What is the goal of this project?
Honestly, I wanted to tie short fiction (or any writing, really) into the NFT space. I know that 1/1 art offers value to others and by dropping them a free literary NFT I can gauge the value of those based on any secondary sales floor.
Below is the “base” art for the Punkinz themselves, each one will have a different face and accessories done in a vector style:
If that seems like something you’d like to collect feel free to check out the twitter or subscribe to this newsletter to keep updated. If you have any questions not answered above, feel free to ask in the comments.
